There are so many amazing organic Trader Joe’s deals to choose from!
Trader Joe’s is a magical place. I’ve never walked out of that store without a bag of goodies in my hand and a smile on my face.
But with all of those amazing-looking snacks and treats lining the aisles, it’s easy to get carried away! I’m always having to check myself—especially whenever I pass by a display of their dark chocolate peanut butter cups. They’re only $.99, after all.
One thing I’ve always been impressed by is Trader Joe’s organic food selection. I appreciate it when stores prioritize organic food—especially when they price it reasonably!
Trader Joe’s does an awesome job of offering organic foods at affordable prices, but not everything is an amazing deal. So if you’re sticking to a budget, it’s helpful to know what things cost!
Sometimes people look obviously surprised when I tell them that I like shopping at Trader Joe’s because it saves me money. But it’s true! The key to not overspending is sticking to your list and knowing your prices, as I mentioned.
Through the years, I’ve found myself buying some of the same products again and again—I have lots of tried and true standbys. So I decided to make a list of my 10 favorite organic Trader Joe’s deals to share with you.
There are some real gems on this list!
10 Best Organic Trader Joe’s Deals to Save You Money
(Prices were taken from the Birmingham, AL store in April 2019.)
1. Organic Lemons and Limes – $1.99
I purchase these almost every week. They’re consistently juicy and full of flavor! And whether I’m using lemon and lime slices to make flavored water, or grating the peel into muffins, I feel good knowing that they’re pesticide-free.
2. Organic Peanut Butter – $3.49
We’re big peanut butter fans over here—it’s definitely a staple in our house! I love that Trader Joe’s organic peanut butter contains only 2 ingredients: peanuts and salt. (Or just peanuts, if you prefer unsalted!) Perfect for those gooey toddler PB&J sandwiches.
3. Organic Raspberry Fruit Spread – $2.99
While we’re talking about PB&Js, I can’t not mention their organic raspberry fruit spread. This jam is bursting with raspberry flavor and has no added sugar (just some juice concentrate)!
We don’t eat lots of jam around here, but when we do, it’s the good stuff. Try a jar—you won’t be sorry! Trader Joe’s also carries 2 other flavors of this same fruit spread that we have yet to try: Strawberry and Super Fruit.
4. Organic Earl Grey Tea – $2.49
My husband, Benj, and I have long adored Trader Joe’s non-organic Earl Grey tea. It has the BEST hit of bergamot—we can’t get enough! So we were excited to see that Trader Joe’s recently started carrying an organic version of our longtime favorite! Hooray!
5. Organic Sweet & White Potatoes – $3.49+
Potatoes are one of those foods that I always buy organic. Personally, I’ve found there to be a huge flavor difference, especially with white potatoes.
Trader Joe’s has great prices on both white and sweet potatoes, although the sweet potatoes are hard to find out of season. Their Russet potatoes are typically the cheapest option.
6. Organic, Raw, & Grass-fed Cheese – $5.99/lb+
Cheese can be very expensive, especially when you’re opting for a higher quality product. Raw and grass-fed cheeses can also be difficult to find, so I’ve always appreciated that Trader Joe’s has such a great selection.
Definitely check it out next time you’re in the store—it’s overwhelmingly wonderful!
7. Organic Tahini – $3.49
Tahini is one of those ethnic foods that can cost an arm and a leg on many grocery store shelves! But organic tahini at Trader Joe’s is very affordable, and I love that it comes in a glass jar.
My Lebanese grandmother taught me how to make authentic, middle-eastern hummus that will always remind me of her cooking. Want to know the single ingredient that transforms average hummus into the most addictive spread ever? Yup, you guessed it! Tahini.
8. Organic Wine – $3.99+
If you’ve been looking for an affordable place to buy organic wine, look no further! You can now find organic Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Rosé, and more at Trader Joe’s.
Wine is something we typically save for special occasions, but we do like to splurge on it occasionally. Okay, who am I kidding? Organic wine at $3.99 per 750mL bottle can hardly be called a splurge.
9. Organic White Corn Tortilla Chips – $2.69
We’ve tried many brands of organic corn tortilla chips because they’re pretty much Benj’s favorite snack. Organic corn is one food we choose not to compromise on because of how heavily it’s sprayed, and how much of it is now genetically modified.
While Costco might have the all-time best price on organic corn chips, Trader Joe’s has them beat on flavor, big time! And they’re still a great price. (We buy the salted variety.)
Pair a bag of these corn chips with a batch of the tastiest homemade Salsa Fresca for a snack you won’t be able to stop eating!
10. Organic Chicken Drumsticks – $1.99
If you’ve ever bought organic chicken, you know how pricey it can be! I frequently buy Trader Joe’s organic chicken drumsticks because both the flavor and the price tag are hard to beat.
Simply sprinkling them with a few spices and baking (so easy!), or cooking them in our Instant Pot (so tender!) are our two favorite ways to prepare these.
BONUS: Organic, Fair Trade Chocolate – $.99+
I love dark chocolate. It’s basically my love language (and I know some of you ladies are with me here).
While I don’t usually go out of my way to buy my dark chocolate organic, I’ve found that Trader Joe’s has a few delicious options. Every bar I’ve tried has been amazing!
SEASONAL BONUS: Organic Potted Herbs $1.99+
These aren’t available year-round, but be sure to keep an eye out once springtime rolls around. Benj and I have had great success with these herbs, and it’s become a little tradition for us each year.
Snatch them up when you see them in-store, because they go fast! The larger basil plants tend to be available for longer.
This year, we snagged 5 fresh organic herb plants—basil, dill, cilantro, thyme, and Italian parsley—for just $11.95!
They had mint, too, but we still have our mint plant from last year. Believe it or not, it survived the 3,000 mile trek in the backseat, all the way from Washington!

Is there any Trader Joe’s in the East valley that still has potted parsley
I absolutely love Trader Joe’s! At first, I used to be intimidated to go inside because I perceived it to be one of those ultra-expensive specialty stores. One day, I decided to take the plunge and walk in… it was quite the opposite! I was shocked that the prices were so afforable and the products were so unique. It’s always a fun experience shopping and The Team is so awesome. I ❤️Trader Joe’s.
