Have you ever had a crazy dream?
I’m not talking about the kind you have when you’re fast asleep. I’m talking about a crazy dream that has the potential to change your entire future- a dream that feels so audacious it borders on impossible.
Hi, my name is Lauren, and I have a crazy dream.
My husband and I started planning our life together before were even engaged. Our relationship thrived on long walks, and we talked about everything from having children and traveling, to finances and home ownership.
It was on one of these long walks that our crazy dream began to come to life. We tossed around a simple question.
“What would it be like to have no mortgage payment or rent to pay every month?”
Our minds were brimming with curiosity. We started asking more questions and calculating all kinds of numbers. It didn’t take long before we realized that the saving, giving, investing and spending potential for those extra dollars was enormous!
Right then and there, our crazy dream was born.
We have since gotten married and had a baby, but that dream to purchase and pay off our first home is still alive and well. We’re just as excited about it now as we were then, and we’re working harder than ever to turn it into a reality.
About the Blog
Those are the characteristics that make crazy dreams come true.
You can’t wish upon a star and expect something magical to happen! Life doesn’t work that way. You have to happen to your goals and dreams.
But practically speaking, how do you make your crazy dreams come true? You make them happen in the daily. You make them happen little by little, working toward them as you go about your day to day life.
I want to encourage and inspire you to
care for your home,
love on your family,
and dream about your future.
It sounds like a tall order, but I believe that these things can be lived out in beautiful harmony. The seemingly mundane tasks of life are what ultimately enable you to make your crazy big dreams come true over time!
Our mundane tasks should be viewed as meaningful and important because they are! Healthy meals and clean laundry keep our families nourished and clothed. They’re simple, yet profound, ways we show our love.
Life will never be perfect. But the good news is, life doesn’t need to be perfect for it to be beautiful and fulfilling.
There are many steps we can take to enrich our lives by embracing simplicity and refining our home management systems. I’d love to walk with you on your journey toward living a more beautiful, intentional life.
We’re in this together!
Just like you, I struggle to manage meal planning, cleaning, laundry, organization, and decorating while living on a budget. It is not easy. In fact, it can be downright exhausting at times, but the reward is worth the effort!
We can learn from our mistakes and keep moving forward. I’m learning how to work toward my dreams a little bit better each day, and so can you! We’re in this together.
Don’t spend your days muddling through, feeling overwhelmed and defeated. Life is too short!
I want to help you
create systems that work,
free up hours in your day,
thrive on a budget,
organize your life,
keep an uncluttered home,
and live a life you truly love.
Learning to live intentionally with simplicity is a process that doesn’t happen overnight. It’s lifelong pursuit that’s incredibly rewarding.

I’m so excited for you to join me on this journey!
I married my best friend, Benj, on June 20, 2015. We love dreaming, learning, and adventuring together. We also enjoy eating good food and spending time together in the kitchen.
Our little Jack Everett joined us on December 11, 2016, and he’s been putting smiles on our faces ever since. I’m so thankful to be able to stay home with him.
Caring for my little family and our home bring me so much joy. I’m passionate about organizing and creating systems that work. Routines keep me sane, and budgeting and spreadsheets bring out the geek in me.
